Red & Yellow belt rumble 2

Last weekend saw our team attend the second This Is Judo Red and yellow belt competition.

This is an entry level event for our minors and precadets who have limited competition experience.

In the under 12s category we had 5 competitors. In his first competition, Nathaniel showed real determination to win silver. Carwyn in only his second competition also came away with a sliver after so great bouts. Bill and Seb moved up weight classes and after 3 bouts each came away with Bronze. Liv had the most bouts of the team after a mix up with the pool sheets, she ended the day with a Silver.

Swansea Judo Success at Red belt competition

In the Under 16s we had Ashton and Harriso. in Ashtons first competition he settled into his bouts combing away with a bronze. Harrison showed another dominant performance to take gold with very nice ippon wins. (Time to grade up 🟠)

As always thanks to the parents, friends and relatives who came to support the team and cheer them on. And big thanks to our coaching team again.
